Dale Farm was an Irish Traveller halting site on Oak Lane in Essex. It was home to over 1,000 travellers. For the last ten years the travellers have been fighting a battle with local authority who have tried to evict them. In recent months the legal war came to a violent head with the announcement that the travellers were to be evicted immediately. This is Minty Challis, a protester, standing outside the burning barricades holding a crucifix. 21st October the last of the travellers were evicted by riot police. One question remains - where will they go?
